Daughter #3 told us today that Hans Christian Anderson was in her class at Primary School. T, aged 13 looked at her scathingly and replied:
"Don't be so stupid, he's about 50 years old now!"
In the light of the recent debate about education and A-Levels, it's heartening to have the evidence right in your own front room. Oh, and there are fairies at the bottom of our garden too.
Welcome back Carol. We missed you.

When is "soon"?
We're all waiting.

Remember me? After 2 years & 4 mths I have finally posted on my blog again (2 postings, no less). Just to remind you (although I'm sure you've remembered INSTANTLY), the blog is Eccentric Bohemian Hermits and you used to visit it. I'm that weird woman from Bolton.
And do thank your son profusely for me. It's so inspiring to know that I am 3 years older than a man whose fairy tales I read when I was about the age of daughter no. 3. Almost as inspiring as being asked by my son no.2 if dinosaurs were still around when I was little.
